Electricity connections
To arrange an electricity connection for your business please complete the company/business application form (PDF 61kB) and fax it to Aurora on (03) 6237 3444. An Aurora representative will contact you within 24 hours (or next business day) of receiving your application.
Alternatively you can call our Call Centre on 1300 13 2045 between Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm to arrange your electricity connection.
Please note: a security deposit may be required for some connections.
Our Electricity Connection Guarantee
If you are reconnecting supply and advise us prior to 4pm on any day we will connect you no later than the next business day provided that the reconnection does not involve changes to the supply and that everything is in order.
If reconnection of your premise does involve changes to your service we will make connection within ten business days.
If you are connecting newly constructed premises then you should allow up to 10 business days provided that we have access your builder or electrician has given the all-clear and that we don't have to change our distribution network (if this is the case it may take longer – up to 12 weeks.)
If your installation has not had the electricity supply connected for a period greater than six months you will be required to have a safety inspection by a licensed electrical contractor. Aurora cannot connect your electricity supply until we receive a notice from your electrical contractor.
If supply to your premises involves the construction of new lines or substations call us on 1300 13 7008 we will negotiate and agree on a date for connection.

Natural gas connections
Existing meter
If your business premises already has a gas meter you simply need to call our Call Centre on 1300 13 2045 between 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday. You may be asked to supply one meter identification number from the installation you wish to connect. An Application Fee is charged based on your individual business circumstances.
New natural gas connection
If you have gas in your street but not connected to your business premises Aurora can arrange this for you. Contact our Call Centre on 1300 13 2045 to begin your natural gas application and find out if specific connection fees and charges apply to your business.
