This is what your Aurora electricity bill looks like, where to find things and what they mean.

Please note this is a sample bill only - figures are representative.
- Your Business name and mailing address.
- Your account number. This is the number you should quote when requiring more information about your account or logging in online.
- The title of your account.
- The total of all charges relating to the supply and use of electricity at the business premises to which this statement applies.
- The payments made since your last statement, including the dates payments were made.
- The payment slip. This shows account number, amount due and pay by date.
- The amount due for payment. This will appear as the "Opening balance" on your next statement.
- This box may contain a message, which is specific to your particular account, or general information message.

- The summarised breakdown of charges.
- The detailed breakdown of charges.
- Peak Energy Charge – Charge for energy consumed during peak times pursusant to the customer's contract.
- Offpeak Energy Charge – Charge for energy consumed during off peak times pursuant to the customer's contract.
- Metering charge – charge on behalf of the Meter Provider and Meter Data Agent for meter capital cost recovery and meter reading services.
- REC Costs – Mandatory Federal Government Renewable Energy Certificate charges. Please note, some additional State based mandatory charges may appear on your account.
- Market Fees – Customer's portion of fixed fees charged by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO)
- Ancillary Services – Fees levied by AEMO for providing market settlement and load control services on behalf of market participants as required by the National Electricty Code.
- Market participants are required to pay their Local Network Service Provider (LNSP) and to the Trasmission Network Service Provider (TNSP) a connection charge and a use of system charge. The name of your distribution network service provider's tariff. The following charges are passed through on their behalf.
- Standing charge – daily cost of connecting to the network charged by your distribution network provider.
- Distribution Network Energy Charges – passed through on behalf of your distribution network service provider.
- Demand Charges – passed through on behalf of your distribution network service provider.
- The rate at which you pay for each charge.
- Losses are also paid. These losses are Distribution Line Factors (DLF) and Transmission Line Factors (TLF):
- Trasmission Line Factors are Notional value relating to "lost" energy through the transmission system.
- Distribution Line Factors are Notional value relating to "lost" energy through the distribution system.
- The Retailer passes on at cost. These losses are approved by the Regulator and are published by AEMO.
