What qualifies as a small business?A small business is an office, shop, workshop used for retail purposes or other business activities. In general, small businesses use a few lights and minimal other electrical equipment and Tariff 22 is the most suitable. General Commercial Tariff 22This tariff is best for businesses that consume up to approximately 10,000 kwh (or units) per quarter.
Prices include GST You can work out your load profile to determine whether you are better off on a demand tariff or an energy only tariff (such as this Tariff 22). Load profile is the ratio of the total energy used (divided by the number of hours) to the maximum demand (or load) placed on the system within the same period. OffPeakIf you have an OffPeak installation in your premises you should consider the OffPeak Tariff, which is available in association with our General Commercial Tariff 22.
Prices include GST OffPeak tariffs apply to thermal-storage space heating, water heating and any other wired-in appliances as approved by Aurora Network. OffPeak heaters store up heat when electricity is least expensive then release it at times that suit you best. This is one of the most economical heating methods available. It is 100% efficient, which means that all the energy consumed by the heater is converted into heat. For more information about OffPeak tariffs phone our Business Customer Service Centre on 1300 13 2045 or contact us via our online form.
