Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)EFT is the transfer of funds from your bank account into Aurora's bank account. This process usually requires your financial institution's software for the transfer connection. Once set up, you simply pay through your accounts payable department. To set up this payment method contact Aurora on 1300 13 2045. EFT enables your accounts payable department to track account payments. Online bill paymentYou can pay your bill online with your Visa or MasterCard. You will need your credit card details handy as well as your Aurora bill. You will be asked to provide your Aurora Account Number (you will find this in a red box on your bill), this is also your reference number. Please note: There is a limit of $1000 if you are paying your bill via credit card. Direct DebitTo pay by Direct Debit, nominate your financial institution and the account from which you want your Aurora bill debited. You can be with a bank, building society or credit union. Aurora sends you your quarterly bill as usual and on the due date of the bill that amount will be automatically debited from the account you have nominated. You may also like to make regular payments by Direct Debit on a scheduled basis. Aurora's Direct Debit DiscountAs an added bonus, all customers who pay their electricity bill by Direct Debit using their savings or cheque account will receive the Aurora Direct Debit Discount. This means $5 (5.5c per day GST inclusive) off the total bill for a standard 91-day statement period. Late payment feeAurora has introduced a late payment fee of $5 for those customers who do not pay their accounts in full by the due date and have not contacted Aurora prior to that date to agree on a deferred payment arrangement. If a late fee is incurred, it will appear on the statement for the following quarter. The following customers are exempt from the fee:
If you cannot pay your account in full by the due date, phone Aurora Customer Services on 1300 13 2045 to arrange a mutually agreeable payment arrangement and avoid the late payment fee. This allows you to spread your Aurora account across the year and avoid those big bills over winter. With Easypay, you pay an agreed regular amount, which is based on your recent pattern of electricity consumption plus a percentage as a contingency for increased use.
