What qualifies as a small business?
A small business is an office, shop, workshop used for retail purposes or other business activities. In general, small businesses use a few lights and minimal other electrical equipment and Tariff 22 is the most suitable.

Load profile is the ratio of the total energy used (divided by the number of hours) to the maximum demand (or load) placed on the system within the same period.

OffPeak tariffs apply to thermal-storage space heating, water heating and any other wired-in appliances as approved by Aurora Network.
OffPeak heaters store up heat when electricity is least expensive then release it at times that suit you best. This is one of the most economical heating methods available. It is 100% efficient, which means that all the energy consumed by the heater is converted into heat.

Business Hot Water Tariff 43
This tariff applies only to hot water systems that have electric storage water heaters that comply with Australian Standard 1056 and have an electricity heating unit rating not exceeding 16 watts per litre, or not exceeding 32 watts per litre if the total delivery rating is greater than 500 litres.
Storage water heaters that have a total delivery rating of not less than 500 litres and a heating rating not exceeding 32 watts per litre delivery may be supplied under Tariff 43.
Where there are two or more storage water heaters installed, the limit of 32 watts per litre delivery may be exceeded within individual heaters provided the total wattage of all the heating units does not exceed 32 watts per litre of total rated delivery.

Explanatory notes
Fixed Charges consist of meter reading, billing costs, part of the meter capital cost and some of the costs of maintaining and connecting to the electricity distribution system.
Demand Charge is an annual charge that contributes towards the cost of transmission and distribution.
Energy Rate is the charge for each unit of electricity (kWh) that covers the cost of generating the electricity and some of the transmission and distribution costs.
Goods and Services Tax (GST): prices include GST.
Quarter means a period of 91 days.
