Reading Your Own MeterHow do I read my dial meter?By reading each of the five dials in turn, left to right (ignore the dial underneath), you will build up a figure that represents the current reading. Choose the smaller figure if the hand sits between two numbers. This example reads 04508, which is 4508 units. Note: if the needle sits between 9 and 0 this reads as 9.
How do I read my digital meter?The digital is simple to read you just have to read the number that appears on the display as below for each electricity tariff that is attached to that meter.

Work out the difference, and that is your amount of usage for that period. Or you can compare your reading to the last one on your latest bill. Access to metersIt is important that our meter readers can access your meter during normal business hours. If there is anything that prevents them from doing this, e.g. locks on gates or doors, building renovations, guard dogs etc. then you should contact us on 1300 13 2003. If access to your meter is not possible then Aurora is entitled to bill you according to an estimate based on previous electricity usage.
