A site inspection will be completed on your property by TasGas Networks Pty Ltd (TasGas Networks) to ascertain where the meter will be located. On completion of the site inspection a "Meter Location Card" will be placed in your letterbox. This card will contain a diagram of where the meter will be installed on your property. 1 TasGas Networks will charge you their standard connection fees that apply for new connection of gas to a property. Further additional connection charges may apply when connecting to gas due to obstruction as outlined in Clause 4 and 5 in the TasGas Networks Residential Connection - Terms and Conditions (PDF 116KB).

If the premises being connected is in the Glenorchy City Council municipalty (GCC), payment of a Road Opening Permit is applicable and payable direct to the GCC. The cost of the Road Opening Permit is in addition to any other charges that TGN applies.

Gas fitter details

Acknowledgement and authority to connect gas supply

  1. I/We have the authority to make this request. I/We confirm that I am/we are the owner of the property detailed in the supply address, or I/we have obtained the explicit permission of the owner of the property to make this request, and I/ we confirm that these details are correct.
  2. As the customer, I/we agree to abide by the TasGas Networks Residential Connection - Terms and Conditions (PDF 116KB) and associated Tasmanian Law.
  3. I/We consent to Aurora Energy Pty Ltd providing my contact details to TasGas Networks for the purpose of connection and who may contact me/us directly in relation to the connection process.
  4. I/We authorise TasGas Networks to carry out the service connection and the necessary works to the property as stated in this application form.
  5. I/We understand and agree that Aurora Energy does not act as an agent for TasGas Networks.
  6. I/We acknowledge that I/we have read and understood the terms and conditions contained in the Aurora Energy Gas Sale Agreement (PDF 322KB).
  7. I/We hereby agree, without limitation or qualification, to be legally bound by, and to comply with the terms and conditions set out in the Aurora Gas Sale Agreement.
  8. I/We understand that under the Aurora Gas Sale Agreement, I/we are entering into a 12-month agreement for Aurora Energy to supply gas.
