Accredited meter installers
Aurora Energy's Accredited Metering Installers Scheme allows electrical contractors who have completed and passed the training to access and work on Aurora Energy's whole current metering assets and associated infrastructure eg. Turrets.
The advantage of becoming an AMI is that the contractor can become a one-stop shop and complete jobs for customers. AMIs can also complete jobs for other non accredited contractors.
A Contractor must be an AMI as a pre requisite to be eligible to tender for Aurora generated work like CablePI faults, Aged meter replacement, Aurora PAY AS YOU GO installs and polarity checks etc.
The AMI is permitted to break metering seals and is equipped with his own sealing tool.
