Peter Davis became a director following his appointment as Chief Executive Officer on 19 March 2004. He is chairman of EziKey Group Pty Ltd and a director of Aurora Energy (Tamar Valley) Pty Ltd. Peter has worked in the energy industry since 1981 and is currently head of the Energy Supply Association of Australia’s (esaa) Greenhouse Project Committee. He is also a director of esaa and a member of the Council of the University of Tasmania. Peter holds a PhD in energy engineering and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ted Bradshaw was appointed to the position of General Manager People & Culture in January 2008. Ted’s career spans mining, construction, financial services and logistics and has had a particular emphasis on culture and change. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Mining and a Gradate Diploma of Management. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute. Michael Brewster was appointed to the new position of Chief Operations Officer – Energy on 1 July 2009. He is also CEO of Aurora Energy (Tamar Valley) Pty Ltd. Michael has over 25 years experience in power and industrial engineering and is both a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia, a member of the College of Electrical Engineers and the 2009 Tasmania division President of Engineers Australia. André Botha was appointed to the position of General Manager Network in February 2010. André has extensive experience within the energy industry in South Africa and New Zealand. Before joining Aurora he was General Manager Networks and Operations at Unison Networks in New Zealand, and was previously Network Development Manager at Vector Ltd. André holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, a Masters of Engineering and a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance. Darren Smith joined the business in November 2008 as Chief Financial Officer and General Manager Commercial Services. He has extensive experience in senior management as both Company Secretary and CFO in the energy, mining and infrastructure-related industries. Darren holds a Bachelor of Science (Accounting) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Chartered Secretaries. Robert Kingsley was appointed to the position of General Manager Network Services in March 2002. He has worked in the Tasmanian electricity industry since 1995 and has held senior positions in industrial relations and transmission and external services with Aurora. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Education and Graduate Diploma of Business Management. Martin Wallace joined Aurora as General Manager Strategy & Corporate Affairs in June 2004 from the Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services, where he was Deputy Secretary. He has extensive senior management experience, a long association with energy market issues and was responsible for economic, financial and energy policy advice to the Tasmanian Treasurer from 1998 to 2002. Martin has an honours degree in Economics.
